Each decal measures 3.5"x5" in size. This Service Banner Flag decal is available with one or two stars as shown.
Service banners have been used throughout history, dating back to the early 20th century in World War I. The use of these was designated in 1917 by US Army Captain Robert L. Queisser to honor his sons who were serving in World War I. The use of the flags was adopted by the local community and government shortly after. Service flags became more popular after the onset of The Korean War and, after it, Desert Storm. Today, organizations and families alike choose to fly these service flags to recognize their members or children actively serving in the Armed Forces. These flags are white with red borders and blue stars in the middle. The stars can number from one, and in some cases, all the way to six. We are proud to manufacture our line of official service banners to recognize those fighting to protect our freedom.
Our service banners are shipped ready for display. Each banner measures 8”x14” and is pre-mounted to a crossbar with a gold cord and tassel. At the foot of the banner is gold fringe, giving the banners a respectable appeal. We offer banners with one, two, and three blue stars. We also offer the service banner design in waterproof vinyl decals, so you can display them on your vehicle, bike, or any other visible surface. Each decal measures 3.5""x5"" in size.
We also offer service flags, larger and more durable than the banners. These 3’x5’ nylon flags come with two brass grommets to display on a flagpole outdoors. You may also choose to hang the flags up indoors. Display service flags from your front porch, in the garage, in the backyard, or wherever else it would be seen by others. We offer the blue star flags with one star; however, should you need a flag with more, please contact us for more information.
If you have a child or member of your team serving in the Armed Forces, take part in this historical blue star flag tradition. If you have any questions about our service banners or would like to discuss creating a larger one, please contact us by email or phone at 1-800-989-3524.
