Antigua & Barbuda flag

The national flag of Antigua and Barbuda was adopted on February 27, 1967, and was designed by a school teacher named Reginald Samuels. The sun symbolizes the dawning of a new era. The colors have different meanings, the black is for the African ancestry of the people, the blue for hope, the red for energy. The successive coloring of yellow, blue and white (from the sun down) also stands for the sun, sea and sand. Our international flags are accurately reproduced to exact specifications. The flag has 2 brass grommets on the left edge for hanging. The 4"x6" size is mounted to a staff with a spear top. Polyester flags are imported and not recommended for prolonged outdoor use. For outdoor use, we recommend our nylon flags. Also available below is an indoor/ceremonial version of the flag with a pole sleeve and gold fringe.
