South Vietnam Flag

The flag of former South Vietnam was designed by Emperor Bảo Ðại in 1948, and was the flag used by former South Vietnam until it was abolished by Vietnamese government on April 30, 1975, when the South unconditionally surrendered to the North. It is also used by some Vietnamese immigrants now living in other countries.The flag consists of a yellow field and three horizontal red stripes that represent North, Central and Southern Vietnam. Our international flags are accurately reproduced to exact specifications. The flag has 2 brass grommets on the left edge for hanging. The 4"x6" size is mounted to a staff with a spear top. Polyester flags are imported and not recommended for prolonged outdoor use. For outdoor use, we recommend our nylon flags. Also available below is an indoor/ceremonial version of the flag with a pole sleeve and gold fringe.
